人や物事、全てにおいてhugをしたいけどできない時、少し外側から新しいhugを探す。

hugは挨拶や好意の表現方法、コミュニケーションの一つである。しかし、物理的に抱き合うという事はなかなか難しいこともある。でも、ハグで表現したいような好意や気持ちを他の方法で表現する事はできないだろうか。

漆は紫外線や水分などにより劣化するが、それは劣化ではなく、自然に還ることができ、時間の中で我々と共に生きる素材であるのではないか。『夢』『物』『残像』とどめようとしても変化してしまうそれぞれのテーマと漆の時間軸を重ね合わる事で見えるものはなにか。

Urushi is a natural material of wood sap, so it can deteriorate and return to the soil. It’s a material that lives with us in time. "Dream," "Thing," and "Afterimage" I created a work by superimposing the three themes that change even if I try to stop it and the time axis of Urushi.

"out of hug" means I want to express my favor for the concept and the materials used, like doing hug, but sometimes it‘s difficult. So it means looking for a new hug that is a little off the center.
